Your new company

Based in Wellington City, this large industrial / mechanical company is looking for mechanical fitters to join their maintenance & repair team. Work consisting of repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment, diagnosing breakdowns and repair work on-site. Some testing and certifying / operating machinery is involved also.

What you'll need to succeed

• Eligibility to work in NZ and ideally looking for a long-term role
• A minimum of Level 4 National Certificate in Engineering in either welding, fitter/turner, toolmaking or maintenance
• Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule / on-call (overtime included)
• Must be comfortable working from heights & in confined spaces
• Industrial and mechanically minded and willing to do on-call work
• Reliability & a good attitude
• Rigging experience and forklift licence is a bonus
