Key Account Manager

Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Key Account Manager for a reputable Roofing Manufacturer in Wellington.

Your new role

As a Key Accounts Manager, you’ll support both factory and office teams. The role is dynamic, multi-faceted and involves a mix of general client rep work, sales generation and account management. Your responsibilities include processing customer orders, generating sales leads, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. You’ll also be a brand ambassador during Freeman Roofing’s relocation to Porirua.

  • Generate sales leads through networking, cold calling, and representing Freeman Roofing at events.
  • Create quotes based on customer enquiries and follow up on quoted jobs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key account holders.
  • Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person.
  • Efficiently process customer orders and address any discrepancies.
  • Actively participate in health and safety practices.

What you need to succeed
  • Customer service skills including in person, over the telephone and via email.
  • Computer literacy and competence in using Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Ability to learn new software effectively.
  • Roofing, building or construction knowledge and/or experience.
  • Detail orientated and ability to accurately follow processes.
  • Job management skills – demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands in limited timeframes.
  • Personable – able to interact positively and professionally with customers, delivery drivers and visitors.
  • Account relationship management experience is a bonus.
