Your new company

You will be working for a large and successful chartered accountancy firm based in Alexandra, Central Otago. This firm has a great local and larger regional presence, with a reputation in line with that. With clients across all industries, sectors and of varying sizes and structures, they have a business model which is highly stable and can offer growth and development to all good individuals.

Your new role

You will be working as an Assistant BAS Manager, based from their Alexandra office. You will be a leader in a good sized regional office team of mixed ability and mixed level accountants, helping to drive theirs and your performance in order to deliver a strong product for the clients who rely on the firm. You will provide guidance and leadership to less experienced members, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and creating strength and confidence within the team.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be an already successful chartered accountant with at least 4 years experience in a similar role, or at a level below and ready to move up to. You will be highly IT literate, confident across accounting software and Excel. You will have a naturally nurturing and helpful personality, enjoying taking less experienced team members on journeys to excellence through coaching and development. If you do not live in Central Otago, you will be willing to relocate to the area - however they are offering a generous relocation support package for the right individual so this will not necessarily be at your cost.
