Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused forklift operator to join our team as a storeman. The ideal candidate will possess an OSH forklift certificate and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety practices. This position is Monday to Friday, with weekends off.
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused forklift operator to join our team as a storeman. The ideal candidate will possess an OSH forklift certificate and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety practices. This position is Monday to Friday, with weekends off.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move materials and products
- Perform pre-operation checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition
- Assist with dispatch duties
- Receive instructions from the production office
- Ensuring that all stock is kept in well-defined and maintained areas and is clearly identified
- Assist in dispatch at designated times
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure the Stores and Finished Goods areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
- Any other task may be directed from time to time.
Qualifications:
- OSH forklift certificate
- F endorsement (preferred)
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices
