Your new role
As the Team Leader Payroll, you will support the National Payroll Services Manager in delivering high-quality payroll services and reporting. You will lead the payroll team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, resolving escalated issues, and overseeing payroll processes to meet audit and legislative requirements. Your role will also involve continuous improvement initiatives, developing process documentation, and providing training and support to team members.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including senior advisory or specialist roles.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand employment and payroll legislation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with payroll systems.
- Experience training and mentoring others.
- Keen attention to detail and a systematic, analytical approach.
- Desirable: Experience managing or leading a team, familiarity with accounting systems, and knowledge of PS Enterprise (PSe).
