Calling all GIS Software Engineers for an
appealing role working for a government organisation geared towards making
a difference for Aotearoa in an 8-month fixed-term role. This organisation strives to

initiatives and projects that are to be delivered to support the strategy set
in place.
Your new role
- Configuring, upgrading, patching, and administration of FME, ArcGIS, and Geocortex servers.
- Develop, manage, and maintain automation workflows, data integration and ETL tools to streamline data workflows.
- Oversee service requests, incidents, and other issues/tasks related to live application support.
- Forward planning, ensuring that patching schedules, upgrade requirements, and regular delivery schedules are met, and work pipelines are planned appropriately.
- Carry out technical designs, develop geospatial solutions and applications primarily using FME, ESRI, and Geocortex software.
- Promote new initiatives and solutions to the business including continuous improvements with FME, ESRI and Geocortex, Maximo & SAP software.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Information Management or Computer Science or Graduate Diploma in ICT (NZQA Level 7).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a GIS (Geographic Information System) related position.
- Proven expertise with geospatial technologies, including experience in both web-based and desktop GIS solutions.
- Proven experience and competency with Safe software FME Form and Flow.
- Proven experience and high level of competency with Esri Technology stack– including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and mobile GIS apps.
- Strong SQL, Python, and JavaScript expertise to manage spatial data and write optimised queries.
- Knowledge of geospatial web services, such as REST APIs, for seamless integration of spatial data with other systems.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and solve issues.
- Proven experience delivering pragmatic, quality outputs to deadlines within fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
