Our client has been in the construction industry for over 50 years and are an internationally well-known organisation for delivering high project value and quality. They are on the lookout for an experienced Site Engineer to join the team for a key commercial project in Taupo. This is a fixed-term role for the duration of the project with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Your new role

• Managing site personnel
• Achieving commercial project deliverables on time and within budget
• Relationship Management
• Cost Estimation
• Programming
• Cost tracking and forecasting
• Project Administration; and
• Ensuring full compliance with HSEQ requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• 3 + years’ experience as an Engineer on commercial projects
• Experience in concrete work and packages preferable
• Previous experience on major commercial projects preferable but not necessary
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (NZDCE or B.Eng. Civils or similar)
• A strong focus on cost control and quality outcomes.
• Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS3910 is desirable.
• Experience managing project resources, including materials and teams/crews, is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders and clients.
