Our client has been in the construction industry for over 50 years and are an internationally well-known organisation for delivering high project value and quality. They are on the lookout for an experienced Site Engineer to join the team for a key commercial project in Taupo that will go on until 2026. This is a fixed-term role for the duration of the project with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Your new role

• Estimating and monitoring project costs
• Produce monthly financial reports
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
• Manage building contracts and construction progress
• Manage subcontractors' performance and work with the Site Manager throughout the project

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in the NZ Construction industry
• NZ experience is crucial
• Extensive exposure in mechanical packages ideal
• Proven experience delivering large commercial projects
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Construction Economics
• Strong analytical skills for cost estimation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
