Your new role

• Develops high quality dimensional data models to answer business questions documented in business analysis.

• Understands and applies good data modelling practises in dbt Core environment.

• Supports the management of analytics, and associated resources within the reporting (PowerBI) and operational (Azure) environments.

• Operates and maintains existing ADI, Azure Data Factory and Databricks solutions.

• Contributes to the testing and deployment of solutions. Monitors and administer the ELT data environment for BI and Analytics, including data governance performance and issues.

• Analyses and identifies visualisation automation opportunities where appropriate.

• Use PowerBI, within our best practice guidelines, to design and create data visuals.

• Configures visualisation and analytics environments to support business process while following agreed our procedures and guidelines.

• Ensures our IS ITIL service delivery practises are used to ensure continuity of analytics services.

• Drives analytics maturity throughout the organisation, supporting best practice usage and methodologies throughout to other analytics users.

• Support analytics and machine learning capabilities to deliver deeper insights.

• Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors programs/scripts related to analytics and visualisations.

• Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.

• Reviews own work and that of others.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science

• Industry experience performing:

• Data manipulation and development within the Microsoft suite using Power Query, SSMS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks

• Data visualisation and analysis within the Microsoft suite, Power BI, Python & R

• Relevant Microsoft qualifications including PowerBI Data Analyst

• Proven experience in deploying dimensional data models, Azure DevOps pipelines and API data extraction solutions.

• Proven experience with Azure storage accounts.

• Experience in report/visualisation requirements gathering and designing
