Currently recruiting for a Senior Service Designer to join a government agency in a contract role. We are dedicated to transforming public services to better serve our community. We are seeking a skilled Senior Service Designer to join our team and lead the design of innovative, user-centred services that meet the needs of our citizens.

• Lead the design and development of end-to-end service experiences across various government services.
• Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, workshops, and journey mapping, to understand user needs and pain points.
• Develop service blueprints, personas, and user journey maps to inform service design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policymakers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of service designs.
• Advocate for a user-centred approach and design thinking methodologies within the organisation.
• Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in service design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Experience conducting user research and facilitating co-design workshops.
• Strong understanding of service design methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
