My client, a leading construction firm, is looking for experienced and motivated Excavator Operators to join their team in Christchurch or Otago. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a key role in executing a wide range of projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

In this role, you will be assisting the wider team on any projects that require excavating support. The expectation for you is to be able to dig complex and deep trenches whilst navigating around existing mainlines - gas, power and fibre lines. You will also be expected to be able to perform the following:

• Safely and efficiently operate excavators and other heavy machinery.
• Follow project plans and blueprints to achieve precise excavation results.

• Assist with on-site preparations, such as clearing and levelling the ground.

• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator.
• Valid operator certificate or licence.
• Strong understanding of excavation and construction principles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
