A private property investment company in Wellington is looking for a Residential General Manager.

My client is a multidisciplined property organisation that owns and operates commercial office buildings, car parking buildings, hotels, residential buildings, industrial and retail properties. The group also owns and develops residential land and housing estates. Their investments are primarily in Wellington City, and are expanding into Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Tauranga, and the Coromandel Peninsula.

They are on the hunt for an experienced Property Manager with people management experience who will take on the role of Residential General Manager. You will be tasked with overseeing their residential arm in the Wellington region, and working with the team to provide strategic direction to the Residential Company and oversee implementation of plans and projects. Currently, their portfolio consists of boarding houses, apartment complexes and individual properties. There is approximately 450 active tenancy agreements. As the GM, you will report directly to the Owner/Director, and lead a team of 5 property managers, site managers and property assistants.

  • 8+ years Property Management experience, ideally in New Zealand.

  • 4+ years people management experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
