GIS Software Engineer

GIS Software Developer, 6-Month Contract in Wellington. Up to $120 per hour. Python and FME exp required.

Your new role is with a Public Sector client based in Wellington, to provide critical support to an ongoing project.

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Software Engineer for a 6-month contract in Wellington. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with FME, ArcGIS, and Geocortex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, upgrade, patch, and administer FME, ArcGIS, and Geocortex servers.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows, data integration, and ETL tools.
  • Manage service requests and incidents related to live application support.
  • Plan and ensure timely patching, upgrades, and delivery schedules.
  • Design and develop geospatial solutions primarily using FME software, along with ESRI and Geocortex.
  • Promote new initiatives and continuous improvements within the business.

  • Expertise in geospatial technologies, with a strong emphasis on FME.
  • Proficiency with Safe Software FME Form and Flow.
  • Competency with the Esri Technology stack (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, mobile GIS apps).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of geospatial web services (REST APIs)
