Our client is a global energy company who are expanding their footprint in NZ. They are currently seeking a Junior Project Developer to assist them with their solar, wind and battery storage projects.
Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As a Junior Project Developer, you will be required to assist in managing the early stages of project development, from initial concept to financial closure. This will include:
- Liaising with relevant landowners, the local community and government bodies
- Working closely with environmental planners, overseeing EIAs and securing planning approvals
- Coordinating with grid connection teams
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, it is essential to have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar
- 2 years + experience ideally in commercial scale renewable energy projects, however applicants with strong experience in other major infrastructure projects will be considered
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Project Management experience
- Competent in the use of GIS
- An understanding of the RMA and planning process
