In this role you will deliver high-quality data solutions to support our clients decision-making and regulatory reporting obligations with key responsibilities that include:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reports tailored to the organisational needs.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with council standards in all reports.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations based on report findings.
- Test all new reports/report enhancements to ensure accuracy/integrity of data prior to releasing reports to the end user.
- Extract and analyse data from various sources, including SaaS CRM platforms, financial systems, and data warehouses.
- Integrate data to provide actionable insights and enhance operational efficiency.
- Create custom dashboards within the Council's ERP applications.
- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and meet the specific needs of different departments and stakeholders.
- Combine data from multiple sources to create a comprehensive view of the Council's operations.
- Use data integration techniques to ensure seamless data flow and consistency.
- Understand and use industry best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Represent stakeholders, business, and process needs through requirements capture, analysis, and validation.
- Identify and propose solution options that meet the requirements of stakeholders.
- Support stakeholders through the process of requirements capture, analysis, and validation.
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- Graduate Diploma Level 7, General Degree, or equivalent level of knowledge
- Information or Computer Science degree or computing diploma with 5 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant work experience
- Advanced independent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure periods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
- Understanding of SaaS CRM systems and financial solutions
- Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and public sector reporting standards
