Location: Porirua
About the position:
We are looking for someone who is looking for a role where they can progress to eventually be a leading hand. We want someone who is reliable, health and safety focused and has the ability to problem solve.
Prior experience in trades, joinery or manufacturing would be preferred as this role is very hands on and requires you to lead from the front.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber components.
  • Sand, finish, and inspect products to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with timber or in a similar workshop environment.
  • Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
