We’re excited to announce multiple openings for dynamic Warehouse and Logistics Team Leaders to join our Service Execution and Fulfilment Operations teams at IKEA. If you’re passionate about home furnishings and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, we want to hear from you!
To be considered for a Warehouse or Logistics Team Lead role, experience in the following is essential:
- You have 1–2 years of leadership experience, with a strong track record of driving both business results and people development.
- Strong awareness and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-energy environment.
- Leadership and management experience in large-scale operations/retailers.
- A solid understanding of retail and logistics processes, tools, and working methods, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.
- You understand different leadership styles and can adapt them to suit the team, the moment, and the challenge at hand.
- Proven track record of working through others - setting priorities, delegating tasks, and giving honest, constructive feedback to help people grow.
- You’re passionate about logistics and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving omnichannel environment.
- You build trust effortlessly and communicate clearly, tailoring your approach to different people and situations.
- Understanding of budgets, costs, and key performance indicators, using them to plan, follow up, and steer the business toward success.
- A natural people-person who connects easily, building strong relationships with co-workers, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Alignment with IKEA values, with a passion for home furnishings and the ability to integrate equality, diversity, and inclusion practices within the workplace.

What you need to know
- The role is Permanent
- The work location for this role once the store is open will be IKEA Sylvia Park & our external warehouse in Māngere by Auckland airport.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts based on store trading hours. You also must have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts.
- The role is expected to start on 14/07/2025.
- The first step of the recruitment process will be an application form. If you are successful to the next step, you will be notified via email.

- As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates which includes an MOJ police check.
