Boiler Technician, Sheet Fabricators, Pipe Fitters - ANTARCTICA

We need sheet metal fabricators, boiler technicians and pipe fitters for an ANTARCTICA project!

We are seeking adventurous boiler technicians, pipe fitters & sheet metal fabricators to join our maintenance team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. This unique opportunity involves working in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth.

Boiler Technician, Pipe Fitters & Sheet Metal Fabricators Needed for Maintenance Project in Antarctica
Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica (approximately 1000 residents in summer season)
Duration: November to March

Rates:
BOILER TECHNICIAN = $45-$50 per hour (WAGES) $55-$60per hour (CONTRACTING)

SHEET METAL FABRICATOR = $38-$40 (WAGES) $48-$50 (CONTRACTING)
PIPE FITTER = $35 per hour (WAGES) $42 per hour (CONTRACTING)

The role:

Assist in production & repairs on projects & facilities
Troubleshoot and resolve boiler issues promptly under supervision
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
Collaborate with other team members to support station operations

Requirements:

Relevant experience, qualifications and references
Open work rights in New Zealand
Ability to pass medical, dental, and background checks
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work in extreme conditions and adapt to a unique living environment
