Our client is a global leader in their field and they have an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join them on a 12-month parental leave contract.

Your new role

Reporting to the HR Manager in Australia, you'll manage generalist HR functions for New Zealand, as well as support through a restructuring process locally. Duties will include:

• Providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
• Coaching and supporting Manager to drive capability and performance
• Managing employee relations, performance management, and talent development within a unionised environment.
• Leading and supporting the restructuring process, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Overseeing recruitment, on-boarding, and off-boarding processes.
• Driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organisational culture.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Union and labour negotiation experience
• Experience managing restructuring processes and organisational change.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
