Seeking skilled and adventurous electricians to join the maintenance team at McMurdo station in Antarctica
About the Role:

Are you an experienced electrician looking for a unique and adventurous career opportunity? We have an exciting position available for a Maintenance Electrician at our research station in Antarctica! This unique opportunity involves working in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth, ensuring the electrical systems are maintained and operational in the harsh Antarctic climate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support station operations.

Requirements:

  • National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electrician Registration).
  • Open work rights in New Zealand.
  • Ability to pass medical, dental and background checks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in extreme conditions and adapt to a unique living environment.
