Based in Takapuna, currently seeking a SEO Specialist to strengthen their digital presence. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies to improve the website’s visibility on major search engines, drive organic traffic, and enhance the online shopping experience for customers

Your new role

• Develop, execute, and manage SEO strategies with a primary focus on driving sales and conversions for the cosmetic and skincare industry.
• Conduct thorough keyword research aimed at identifying high-intent search terms that lead to increased sales and revenue growth.
• Optimise website content, product descriptions, meta tags, headings, and internal linking with a focus on driving conversions and maximising search performance for target keywords.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure blogs, product pages, and landing pages are fully optimised for SEO, with an emphasis on increasing organic traffic and sales.
• Enhance user experience by optimising page speed, mobile responsiveness, and site structure to boost performance metrics, including engagement, conversion rates, and overall SEO rankings Build high-quality backlinks through outreach, partnerships, and digital PR campaigns.
• Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links that may negatively impact search rankings.
• Work on collaborations, guest blogging, and brand mentions to increase online authority.
• Monitor and analyse SEO performance metrics, using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
• Provide regular reports on traffic, rankings, conversion rates, and ROI from organic search efforts.
• Conduct regular technical SEO audits and fix issues related to crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content.
• Implement structured data, schema markup, and other relevant technologies to improve search visibility.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as an SEO Expert, preferably in the cosmetic, beauty, or skincare industry.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like Shopify, WordPress, or woo commerce.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development practices for SEO.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Up-to-date with the latest trends in SEO, content marketing, and e-commerce strategies.
• Experience in the beauty, skincare, or cosmetic industry. Knowledge of paid search strategies and SEM. Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or similar
