They are looking for a Workplace, Health and Safety specialist to join the team in 2025!
Your new role
Ensure the effective implementation of workplace, health, safety and environment (WHSE) management systems in alignment with organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements
Work with site managers, team leaders and employees to embed policies and procedures into daily operations through guidance, support and training
Coordinate WHSE induction and training programs
Conduct site audits and inspections ensuring timely resolution of any identified issues
Prepare and deliver toolbox talks to raise awareness and drive engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support WHSE initiatives across the business
Manage injury claims, coordinate return to work programmes with site management and liaising with ACC to monitor progress and outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
Strong understanding of WHSE legislation, policies and procedures
Minimum workplace, health and safety diploma / qualifications
Proven experience in coaching, training and engaging teams at all levels to foster a safety-first culture
Ability to conduct risk assessments, manage incidents and implement practical solutions
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Experience in FMCG industry is highly advantageous
